We were invited to take part in promotional event for Mint Festival 2016. One of the event managers at Mint Festival, Stuart Forsyth was the brainchild behind this crazy event on a Monday afternoon in September.
The concept was this…. World famous DJ, Patrick Topping made up his own version of Leeds infamous Otley Run and renamed it ‘The Topply run’. This is bascially a pub crawl on Otley Road, starting in Headingley and finishing off in Leeds. But the Topply run had a unique twist. Insteaf of pubs, we had 4 mini parties in random venues on route. This all started at 1pm on Monday afternoon during freshers week
We were asked to host one of the 4 venues, but we struggled to find a suitable venue to hold our igloo, until we approached the Original Oak in Headingley, they have the biggest beer garden in the UK (apparently).
We installed our 16m premium package along with Ice cannons & confetti cannons. The party took 9 hours to put up & take down, and it was all over in 55 minutes. Check out the video for the full story.
